Terms of Service

Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Vellum (operated by Alfaaz LLC), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

The platform

Vellum provides tools for creators to build storefronts and sell Notion templates to buyers. We facilitate the transaction but are not a party to the sale between creator and buyer.

Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Creator responsibilities

As a creator on the platform, you agree to:

• Only sell Notion templates you have the right to distribute.
• Provide accurate descriptions and maintain working Notion template links.
• Not use the platform to sell prohibited content (malware, plagiarized work, illegal material).
• Handle buyer support for the content of your templates.

Payments and fees

• All payments are processed through Stripe. By using the platform, you also agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement.
• We charge a transaction fee on each sale based on your plan tier (Free: 7%, Pro: 2%, Business: 0%).
• Subscription fees (Pro: $19/mo, Business: $39/mo) are billed monthly and non-refundable for partial months.
• Creator payouts are handled by Stripe according to their payout schedule.

Buyer terms

• Purchases grant you a personal license to use the Notion template. You may not resell or redistribute templates you buy.
• Templates are delivered as shareable Notion links, not as a secured or DRM-protected download. A purchase link can be opened or copied by anyone who has it, so keeping your link private and not re-distributing it is your responsibility.
• Every purchase is covered by Vellum's platform-wide 30-day money-back guarantee. Vellum is the merchant of record, so this promise applies to every template on every store, not a per-creator policy. If a template is not right for you, email us within 30 days for a full refund.
• If a template link is broken or inaccessible after purchase, contact the creator first. If unresolved, contact us.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you upload. By listing a template on the platform, you grant us a limited license to display and distribute it as necessary to operate the storefront. We do not claim ownership of your templates.

Prohibited uses

You may not:

• Attempt to circumvent platform fees or payment processing.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the platform without permission.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Upload malicious content or interfere with platform operations.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alfaaz LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that templates listed by creators will meet your expectations.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account through settings. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms with reasonable notice where possible.

Changes to terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
